Bobby Humphrey

Not only is Bobby Humphrey an accomplished coach, he is the foundation behind PointBreak Academy’s identity and long-term impact. With over 18 years of coaching experience, he has helped more than 100 players reach the college and professional levels while developing countless others into high-level competitors. A former Division I athlete, U.S. Youth National Team player, and Boca Juniors Academy product, Bobby understands what elite environments demand because he has lived them.

Beyond coaching, Bobby worked as a professional scout for an agency in Los Angeles, giving him a trained eye for identifying talent and understanding what separates promising players from true professionals. He later brought PointBreak Academy from LA to North Carolina in 2024, where it has continued to grow rapidly. Built on the belief that technical mastery and intelligent decision-making are the foundations of success, PB exists to develop players fully and position them for real opportunities when the time is right.

Julien Hafner

Not only is Julien an exceptional player, he also serves as the strategic engine behind PB Academy’s growth and innovation. As COO, CFO, social media manager, and lead web designer, he oversees operations, branding, and long-term vision building PB into more than a training program, but an elite collective of driven athletes committed to excellence.

Beyond leadership, he approaches player development with a data-driven mindset. Julien has conducted extensive research on performance optimization, analyzing the last 250 top global wonderkids from 2016–2020 to identify the factors that separated elite professionals from those who did not reach the highest level. He has developed systems such as LifeOS, an AI-powered performance and lifestyle chatbot designed to help athletes optimize training, recovery, nutrition, mindset, and daily structure because improving every variable increases the probability of going pro. As he prepares to compete at the academy level in Spain this August, he continues to lead by example, combining elite ambition with innovation to raise the standard for what modern player development can be.
